Same fantastic ingredients as the classic Beesilk hard lotion bar, but made in different proportions, to satisfy different needs. For early survey results, click here.
What is it for? For delicate skin that doesn't need the intensity of hardness and protection that the Beesilk hard lotion bar provides (i.e., babies, young children, or those dealing with extreme skin issues). Beesilk Jr feels more like a lanolin, but with easy application.
What's in it? Only shea butter, beeswax, and coconut oil. It has less of a honey scent (than the Beesilk hard lotion bar) due to less beeswax, and more of a natural rustic, smokey scent from the shea butter. No added scents or preservatives. Perfect for those allergic to many products found on the shelf.
Marla in WA: I like the Beesilk Hard Lotion Bar when I have kids lined up waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for their turn for the bar and I like Beesilk Jr for specific target places, or when I'm using it on small babies.
Holly Yzquierdo: I am so pleased with the Beesilk Jr. My 8 month old son has had eczema since he was born. He was daily covered in hydrocortisone and vaseline. At one point it was so bad our doctor gave him DermaSmoothe which helped. They both helped. I was uncomfortable with giving these to my son but I also didn't want him to be in pain. He was constantly scratching and his skin was very rough.
The day I received the Beesilk Jr I applied it to a few areas on his right side in case he had a bad reaction. A few hours later I noticed his right side looked so much better than his left. The next two nights I applied it to his whole body and when he woke up in the morning his skin was the softest it had ever been. He still has a few areas I'm having trouble clearing up around his neck and chest due to drool.
