Shortly before we were married, my husband Jonathan gave me a 2 ounce block of pure beeswax that he picked up at a local farmer's market. It was just a simple gift but there was something about the sweetness of the scent, and holding something in its raw, organic form, that made me love my husband's appreciation for God's creation all the more.

We celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary last month and spent the evening reminiscing about the simple, natural things that our marriage has brought us over the years – namely, the amount of time we've spent talking, laughing, bonding, planning... all which has proved useful in raising our family.
