Bees: Powerful, yet Delicate
My husband chatted with an old high school friend the other night and in the course of catching up, his friend told him they started a beehive last year. He raved about the beautiful honey the bees gave him, but the story ended sadly. His bees didn't make it through the winter.

It brought home the fact that the bee's bountiful production is a powerful support to man's comfort, yet the bee itself is a very delicate creature. Thank God for the bee and the help it provides the gardener, the cook... and yes, the lotion maker.

Lotion Guy Reviews Lard As Body Lotion

Lotion Guy almost ended up in the dog house on this review, and frankly, our 100 lb Anatolian would have gladly welcomed him.  Up for review was a tub of pork lard. The stuff stunk, and that's all I can say about it. Lotion Guy, however, gave an honest thumbs up for the lard as a body lotion as it felt quite similar to shea butter. But, he does admit that it should be reserved for desperate, dare I say, lonely, times. Read the full review at www.lotionguy.com

Another Group for MadeOn to Sponsor!

We introduced you to the Miller Family of the EdventureProject a couple months ago, as our first sponsored organization. If you haven't kept up with them, check out their blog... (did you know you can buy coyote fat at the local Guatemalan "mercado"? I have to find out what in the world they use that for!)

Our newest sponsored group is a young bunch, six siblings who are launching a Celebrate Life rally in San Jose, California on April 2nd. The older children (Tucker and Chloe, ages 13 and 12) have put together a 3 hour rally that will include guest speakers on adoption, foster parenting, caring for the elderly, and choosing life. MadeOn is supplying the young organizers with plenty of lip balm to promote the rally, and gift bags of lotion as giveaway prizes. Check out my sponsored groups page for more information and I'd really, really love it if you'd "like" their Facebook page and give them a word of support! If you go to the rally, look for us.

LOTION EMOTION
What people say...
Melissa in MI: I just wanted to drop you a line and give thanks and high praise for your hard lotion bars. My husband's hands were so sore that he would tell me it hurt just to touch anything. They would be cracked wide open, the skin would be missing in spots and they would bleed. Now to see him out of pain is beyond fantastic. The cracks have closed and the skin is growing back.

Angie in AZ: I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your lotion bars.  This high desert dry cold is doing a number on our skin, esp. our hands!  The bar that I just got warms up quickly and is easy to apply.  All the kids are asking to use it also.

Lacy via email: I have been using your BeeSilk bar for about a week now and am SO greatful!  I'm sure you've heard this story many times by now, but my hands were dry and cracked to bleeding a lot of the time.  The cracks that were beginning a week ago were gone in 24 hours and I have had soft hands all week!  Thank you so much :)
