Loco for Cocoa Beans
The end of September brought two special people to our home to meet for the first time “in real life”: Lois Wood, one of my very first customers and who has since made her own unique lip balms and salves, and Jennifer Miller, the “mom” half of the travelling homeschool family from the Edventure Project, who has recently returned from Guatemala.

Jennifer shared some raw cocoa beans from Guatemala that we heated in a skillet to remove the seeds (which taste delicious as is, by the way!).  Then we ground that into a powder.  Jennifer added real maple syrup from Lois’ maple trees in NH, and whipped in some avocado to make it a bit more “mousse”-like. She also took some of the cocoa powder, added both sweetener and melted cocoa butter and made chocolate that would make Willy Wonka weep. It was that good.

LOTION COMMOTION
Where all the action is...
1. It's all about oil-pulling for good health. We're talking about it on Facebook and on my blog. Melissa says it's already helping with teeth sensitivity. Find out what swishing coconut oil may do for you!
2. I'm getting great feedback on the new Beesilk Jr. Is it a product for you? See the survey results on my blog.

LOTION EMOTION
What people say...
Judy in CA is someone who was prescribed steroids by her dermatologist for her eczema. She heard about the Beesilk bar through a friend and has been able to avoid the steroids altogether. I interviewed her and posted her story on my website. If you can avoid going the steroid route, I highly recommend it! Read her story here.

Janeen: LOVE the AuChocolat bar and its delicious smell !! Works so well on my dry hands and soaks in quickly.

Amy in TX: The Beesilk is so smooth, and it lasts.

Andrea in MI www.simpleorganizedliving.com: Now that I’m 7 months pregnant, my restless legs are worse than ever and the ONLY thing that offers any relief is the hard lotion bar.

As Christmas approaches, I'll add specials to the gifts page on my website. You'll be able to buy lip balms in bulk - I've got your stocking stuffers covered.
