Consider the Elements
My son has taken an interest in chemistry and is collecting as many individual matters found in the Period Table of Elements as he can (ahh, brings back so many memories of high school chem lab!).
As he described the different substances to me, I realized that our MadeOn: products work the same way. The same 3 base ingredients (shea butter, beeswax and coconut oil) make up most of the products. Adjust the amounts and you have a whole new product:

Equal amounts = Beesilk hard lotion

Lessen the beeswax = Second Life hair butter

Lessen the beeswax, add more shea, and you have Beesilk Jr.

Remove the shea, throw in some zinc oxide and you have diaper rash cream.
No wonder I feel like a chemist.
My goal has been to create safe and natural skin care products with as few ingredients as possible, yet still get the job done. The new product, Beesilk Jr, feels most like lanolin. It is not creamy, so don’t expect the ease of a pump lotion. It’s important to keep the beeswax in there, so expect a bit of initial hardness when scooping, but ease in applying. And with less beeswax, you won’t have the honey scent. But for delicate skin, it’s the perfect emollient.
