Some Blogger Reviews

Katie at KitchenStewardship:

My husband sometimes calls himself “malady man.” He’s had weird, unexplained maladies that no doctor can figure out rather too often. Who knows if they’ll all turn out to be different manifestations of a gluten sensitivity or something else we discover as we go grain-free for a spell! One of them was finally pegged as eczema, and I’ve been making him use my Hard Lotion from MadeOnon his cracked hands, when he remembers (men!). It makes headway, for sure!

Tsh at SimpleMom:

My favorite product she sent me, though, is the Hair Butter (sweetly named Second Life). Oh, the hair butter. You know how I only wash my hair with baking soda. Well, I think I’ve just replaced my apple cider vinegar rinse with a few dabs of the Hair Butter (with ingredients shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, and orange essential oil). My hair looks amazing with this stuff, if I say so myself. And I love the scent.

Stephanie from Keeper of the Home:

I've struggled with dry, itchy and painful eczema on my hands for a long time. Some things have made a big difference (like cod liver oil, eating less sugar, keeping my stress down and my sleep up, wearing gloves, etc.).

Other things have never really made much of a difference, including the zilllion types of lotion that I have tried over the years. We tried almost everything and though some lotions helped a little, none of them really gave the relief that I needed. Until I tried MadeOn Hard Lotion bars.

Jessica from Life As Mom:

I love it that this lotion comes in bar  form because I can rub the bar on just the backs of my hands, not the palms, and avoid that sticky feeling I get from lotion. And that they are free of chemicals makes them all the more wonderful and convenient to use.

FAQ about testimonials:

How do you gather your testimonials? Post-purchase surveys, comments on Facebook and feedback given to us by email.

Do you receive negative reviews? Occasionally we receive feedback from customers who say the hard lotion bar just isn't for them. It's often due to not having much of a skin problem, having an extreme skin problem, allergies, scent issues (even with natural scent) or it takes too much work to apply.

Out of 332 survey-takers, 103 (31%) people rate the Beesilk hard lotion bar as a "10" on a scale of 1-10. (80% rate it between 7 and 10)

Now, on to the testimonies....

I liked the bee silk sample so much myself that I'm stocking up for Christmas gifts. I'm enjoying the French Plum tinted lip balm, too! I personally prefer the honey-beeswax scent to cocoa butter, but I have friends who'll love the chocolate scent. Thanks!

I love the hair butter. I am a Black female and wear my hair natural so it works just great for me. I liked that it was heavy enough, but not overly so, and I could oil my scalp.

Beesilk is the Natural Manicure

Cait in NY:

"I love the hard lotion. I find the Beesilk very effective at reducing hangnails, peeling /cracking nails, cuticle damage and improving nail strength. I used to keep my nails painted in order to keep them peeling and prevent me from nibbling them, but I am trying to eliminate unnecessary chemical exposure. I rub the lotion on my hands and nails a couple of times per week and my nails have started to look very healthy-- almost like a natural manicure."

I have facial dryness and cracked hands/feet. The bars are part of my daily routine. If my feet are sore I rub some on and sock up. My Hubby had a rash that cleared up nicely using the Simply Soothing rash cream. We also used it on a bite, I used it, and bee jr ... wonderful stuff ! Thanks Renee I love your baby addition, I am giving it as baby gift this month!

I have dry scaly spots on my arms and hands from sun damage - I am 66 years old and even with trying to be careful all my life there is damage. I use BeeSilk and love it. I don't think it makes the underlying problem (precancerous areas) go away but it smooths out the scaliness and helps the skin to heal. That is a blessing!

Thank you for making this wonderful product. I use it every day and have recommended it to several friends.

"My hair is thick, wavy, and tends to frizz, and seems to absorb all hair products and render them practically useless. The hair butter is all I need to keep it looking shiny with natural waves. I also use it as hand moisturizer in a pinch."

"I use your products on my African American twins. I use the Beesilk Jr on baby cheeks that are chapped from drool. It works beautifully. I think if I used it more regularly, it would be perfect. I love the Second Life hair butter for African American hair. Baby girl has course hair and baby boy has softer curls. It works on both."

"I have severe, chronic dyshidrosis on both foot bottoms. I use the hard lotion and it helps keep the large pieces of dead skin from falling off, almost like a glue. Not a cure for my severe diseased skin, but at this point, I'm learning how to cope."

I used the DIY kit to make sunscreen after my last order from you. We LOVE it! My husband uses it every day he works outside. Neither of us has gotten burned this year! And it worked wonders on a rash I had on my hand. Thanks for offering us wonderful products.

Beesilk Helps Diabetic Feet

Honey (my husband) is a dumptruck driver who wears hot, heavy workboots for 10 to 12 hours each day, 5 days a week. He is also diabetic and, as we know, must take extra care not to injure his feet.   You sent a sample of Bee Silk for him and he agreed to try it.  He used the Bee Silk on his feet after showering, then put on clean white socks and left them on all night. I encouraged him to reapply it in the morning before going to work, but I don't know if he did that every day.  After only a week, the bottoms of his feet, which had been dry and cracked (not good for a diabetic), were soft and healthy-looking. No more cracks or ways for bacteria to get in and cause infection!   He has not tried the Au Chocolat, but I think I will try that on my legs!  I'm going to order more Bee Silk, though, for sure!! Thank you again for your generosity!!

I just made a batch of sunscreen, one lip balm, and some bug-off bars... it was crazy easy! Thanks for such a good kit and great recipes. I think I'm going to be writing about it on my blog and I'll definitely be using this as an activity at a diy wedding shower I'm throwing in a few months. Going to order the gift giving e-book right now!

I told my whole connect group about you this morning. Well also about my husband's nasty heel that was cleaned up by the lotion bar and my daughter's eczema on her hands.
